The Job:
As aJob Title Hereyoullbe part of ourTools and Outdoor team working as an on-site employee responsiblefor the designanddevelopment of new cutting tool products for the category as well as upgrades to existing cutting tool products using technologies that can be reasonably implemented. Will provide cross functional support to the manufacturingproductmarketingand industrial designteams to meet safety qualitycostand marketingobjectivesfor products such as reciprocatingsaw blades hole saw and construction circular saw bladeand abrasive products.Youllget to:
- Prepare feasibility/lean study for proposed ideas of new product development including competitive research and analysis product function and features proposal technical requirements confirmation project schedulearrangementand budget planning etc.
- Create working models of new product concepts using 3D CAD software (CATIAor similar) andsubsequentlybuild physical prototypes to support product development.
- Conduct new product development and improvement to existing products by working closely withglobalproduct team on product design 3D modeling testing and composition of technical documentation.
- Create 2D drawings generateandrevise Bills of materialsas well asmaintainengineering documentation.
- SupportR&D projects to keep the process aligned withplannedtimeline control the project budget to achieve all the project goals.
- Develop new testing equipment and procedures as needed to evaluate product features and design.
- Perform sampling producttestingand documentation including the writing of product performance specifications and test plans.
- Organize and run product evaluationsby performing hands-onand robotictesting using standard and custom power tools and tests conclusionsdeterminefollow-up actions and communicate findings to internal or external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams to continuously improvethe productfunctions performance manufacturingprocessand cost reduction.
- Support DFMEA and PFMEA sessions and design reviews.
- Collect feedbackof marketby proactively communicating with customerssalesand service team to understand customer demands deeply and upand support end user circuits to gather data from end users.
- Supportcross-functionalteamsin product innovation and ideation sessions for the development of solutions thatresolveend-user frustrations.
- Provide technical support consultation and training to sales teamscustomersand other teams asthe technical expert.
- This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship (H1B OPT/CPT TNetc).
The Person:

- Bachelorof Sciencedegree or aboveinMechanicalEngineeringorrelated field.
- 0-2 Yearsexperienceinmechanical design experienceinPower Toolaccessoriesis preferred.
- Proficientinone 3D/2ddesign software Creo(Pro/E)CATIAetc.)tomaintainproduct documentation.
- Understanding ofcutting tool application and cutting tool material properties.
- Comfortable with hands-on testing and using power toolsand beingin an industrialenvironment.
- Strongwritten and oralcommunication skills.
- Functionswell in afast paced fast-changingand demanding environment to develop world class products.

The base pay range for this position in Massachusetts is $per year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. A sign-on payment may be provided as part of the compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefitsdependenton the position offered.
