Job Description:

Reporting to the Director Talent Acquisition the Talent Acquisition Specialist serves as a trusted advisor to hiring leaders throughout the recruitment lifecycle in alignment with TSA values policies procedures applicable legislation operational goals and best practices to attract and hire for best fit and top talent.
This position is accountable to deliver a high-volume of top-level candidates while providing a high-quality candidate and client experience. This position will promote the story career opportunities and transformation of TSA in a way that continuously generates a qualified pipeline of applicants and high-quality hires for current and future requirements.
There is a focus on providing recruitment analytics and supporting special projects that directly impact the success of the overall talent acquisition strategy.

This is a home office/remote position with territorial headquarters based in Toronto Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for a diverse portfolio of roles and locations in alignment with organizational policies employment legislation and human rights requirements.
  • Partner with hiring leaders to assess current and future hiring needs and develop agreed-upon recruitment plans that support business and mission priorities.
  • Design and execute effective sourcing and attraction strategies to build diverse candidate pools including proactive approaches for difficult-to-fill or high-demand roles.
  • Draft post and manage job advertisements in collaboration with hiring managers ensuring consistency inclusive language and strong employer branding.
  • Screen applications conduct preliminary interviews and present shortlists with clear well-documented screening assessments.
  • Guide hiring managers on interview techniques competency-based assessment and selection practices aligned with organizational values.
  • Coordinate and facilitate interviews assessments reference checks and selection activities supporting hiring managers through final hiring decisions.
  • Prepare and manage employment offers and onboarding process and maintain clear timely communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines leverage recruitment systems and analytics participate in recruitment projects and represent the organization at career fairs and networking events as required.

Education and Experience Qualifications:

  • College Diploma in Human Resources or related field
  • University Degree in Human Resources or related field will be considered an asset
  • Registered Professional Recruiter or CHRP/CHRL designation will be considered an asset
  • Alternative combination of experience and education may be considered
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar recruitment function leading full cycle recruitment
  • Strong working knowledge of current employment legislation and leading best practices.
  • Sourcing capability across multiple recruitment channels
  • Strong technical skills including a strong preference for Workday ATS & ServiceNow knowledge and experience.
  • Proven track record of meeting hiring timelines & targets
  • Excellent critical thinking creative problem-solving and consultative skills
  • Ability to quickly build partnerships and gain understanding of operational requirements
  • Proven attention to detail
  • Tactful and diplomatic in sensitive situations effectively managing confidential information
  • Engaging presentation skills to deliver presentations and participate in careers fairs
  • Bilingual (English/French) preferred

Compensation:

The target hiring range for this position is $58330.17 to $72912.71 with a maximum of $87495.25.

Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions internal equity and candidate experience skills and qualifications relevant to the role.
