As a Field Manager you will be responsible for leading the Baker Hughes team in the Fort McMurray area.

Fuel your passion

As a Field Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Attending business meetings in the Fort McMurray areas to engage business growth and development for the area.
  • Communicating with customers to identify and qualify business opportunities and needs.
  • Framing / Understanding technical issues field testing and analytical test requirements. This may include a wide range of support from coaching to actual project completion of the analytical work field testing and program writing.
  • Troubleshooting issues that arise in the field and provide support as needed to the District Manager and other area Field Managers to adhere to program development processes.
  • Coordinating and defining field projects to qualify customer requirements for effective project management designed to meet customer needs. Complete technical service requests and recommendations with consultation of the technical group as an information resource.
  • Providing additional training and mentorship to Account Managers.
  • Communicating and rolling out of new technologies to area. Create new business with existing customers by identifying opportunities for the application of new technologies.
  • Interfacing with area customers to ensure technical and business expectations are being met.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Have technical diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Have 7 years directly related experience in SAGD/Thermal properties. Water and process treatments
  • Requires travel to field sites.
  • Have ability to demonstrate a high level of problem-solving skills.
  • Have ability to work and communicate well with others.
  • Have proficient with MS Office (Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Have technical focus on chemical applications and develop a detailed understanding of current applications.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have time management skills and ability to handle multiple projects

Desired Characteristics:

  • Chemical Technology Diploma or equivalent
  • 10 years directly related experience in conventional and thermal (SAGD) properties.
