Associate TMT & Healthcare Sector Coverage

The Telecom Media and Technology & Healthcare Sector Coverage team offers an exciting position in Amsterdam for an ambitious professional who is driven by working in a truly international environment. The TMT & Healthcare sector team is one of the global specialist sector coverage teams at the heart of ING Wholesale Banking. We provide banking services and complex financing solutions to telecommunication media entertainment technology satellite and healthcare companies in the EMEA region the Americas and in Asia-Pacific. Our Amsterdam team is the largest TMT&H hub with an energetic and diverse team of ca. 20 bankers.

Job description

You will be a member of multiple client coverage and deal teams involved in transactions which have a large impact on our clients. As an Associate in the TMT & Healthcare sector team your job is highly diverse and your main tasks consist of:

• Help building client relations and maintaining continuous dialogue with industry leaders and sector participants
• Actively supporting transaction generation proactively contributing to the teams origination efforts by scanning the market for new opportunities preparing sector analyses presentations and pitch books
• Support Senior Members of the team with prospect client development initiatives
• Collaborate with other departments within ING including Corporate Finance Loan Capital Markets Debt Capital Markets Financial Markets Sustainability Finance Transaction Services and Risk Management
• Support in the preparation and delivery of complex financial models product fit analyses rating profiles peer group analyses and credit applications.
• Assist deal teams in the negotiation and structuring of financing solutions for our clients
• Assessing and reviewing due diligence on clients
• Collaborate with Transaction Management to ensure quality credit proposals
• Support the team to ensure that data quality is maintained across all bank platforms and that the sector team remains compliant with internal and external regulatory requirements

Your work environment

We have a broad client suite (investment and non-investment grade companies public and privately owned companies private equity infrastructure funds etc.) which means you will get exposure to corporate acquisition capex and project finance structures as well as daily banking products such as cash management and trade financing. The global TMT & Healthcare sector team consists of dedicated professionals located in Amsterdam Frankfurt London Madrid Milan Paris Zurich New York Hong Kong Singapore and Sydney. The combined team in Amsterdam/Frankfurt/Madrid/France/Italy/Switzerland/UK covers the EMEA region where ING is one of the leading banks in the sector with top league table positions.

Who are we looking for

• Ambitious professional with a Masters degree with excellent academic results
• 3-4 years of relevant experience in the financial sector in an international transaction-driven structured finance leveraged finance financial advisory environment preferably with a focus on telecom media technology or healthcare
• Basic understanding of banking products beyond lending (cash management working capital solutions trade finance) is preferred
• A passion for the telecom media technology and healthcare industries
• You bring :

  • High level of self-motivation and professional approach
  • Good interpersonal & communication skills strong team player

  • Ideal candidate is fluent in English both verbally and written fluency in Dutch is a plus
