Technical Architect Java + Python

Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Technical Architect (1215 years experience) to lead architecture and technical direction for a large-scale enterprise platform operating at the intersection of traditional Java systems and AI-driven Python services.

This platform combines a mature Java-based ecosystem with emerging Python-based components powering intelligent automation and AI-enabled workflows. The role requires someone who is equally comfortable modernizing enterprise Java systems and designing scalable Python services integrated into production environments.

This is not a pure design role the Architect is expected to remain hands-on and deeply involved in technical decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

1. Architecture & Design

• Define and evolve the overall system architecture across Java and Python stacks

• Design scalable secure and high-availability solutions for enterprise workloads

• Establish integration patterns between core Java services and Python-based AI components

• Ensure system reliability observability and performance at scale

2. Technical Leadership

• Provide architectural guidance to Tech Leads and senior engineers

• Review critical code changes and enforce engineering standards

• Drive design reviews and ensure alignment with long-term roadmap

• Mentor engineers in clean architecture domain modeling and scalable system design

3. AI & Automation Integration

• Architect Python services powering AI-enabled functionality

• Design safe and production-ready integration of AI workflows into enterprise systems

• Ensure proper isolation monitoring and governance of AI components

• Collaborate on evaluation logging and traceability strategies for AI-driven features

4. Engineering Excellence

• Define best practices around CI/CD DevOps and automated testing

• Drive performance tuning refactoring and technical debt management

• Champion secure coding practices and compliance standards

Required Experience

• 1215 years of software engineering experience

• Minimum 2 recent years in a Technical Architect or equivalent role

• Strong production experience in enterprise Java ecosystems

  • Spring / Spring Boot

  • Microservices architecture

  • REST APIs

  • ORM frameworks

• Meaningful hands-on Python experience (not academic exposure)

  • Building APIs / services

  • Integration with AI/ML or automation workflows preferred

• Experience designing distributed systems and high-volume transaction platforms

• Exposure to cloud environments (Azure/AWS/GCP)

• Strong understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

Preferred Experience

• Experience working on financial systems reconciliation systems or audit-driven platforms

• Exposure to AI-enabled enterprise systems

• Experience modernizing legacy Java systems into microservices

• Familiarity with observability tools and production monitoring
