Job Summary

Our Outside School Hours Care service Mitchelton State School Helping Hands is looking for a passionate Assistant Coordinator to assist with managing the service and providing engaging programs for our primary-age children. 

This permanent part-time opportunity offers 20 hours per week. Youll work Monday to Friday in split shifts across our programs:

Rise then Shine Program Morning shifts (6:00am 8:50am)
Stay and Play Program Afternoon shifts (2:50pm 6:00pm)
Holiday HQ Program Extra hours available during school holidays (6:00am 6:00pm)

Your role will include:

  • Leading fun-filled programs where children explore everything from STEM and sports to arts & crafts (whatever sparks their imagination!).
  • Fostering strong connections with children parents and the school community to create a nurturing environment.
  • Managing a team of passionate Educators including organizing rosters and helping them grow in their roles.
  • Assisting with overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service ensuring everything runs smoothly including compliance and administration.

What Were Looking For

Strong communication skillsyoull be guiding and supporting others!
The ability to work well in a team and the desire to grow into a leadership role.
A National Police Check and Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain them).
Australian work rights.
A relevant qualification or be actively working towards one (per ACECQA standards).
