Job Summary
Licensed Surgical Veterinary Technician - Anesthesia
Our surgical team at Sugar Land Veterinary Specialistsis rapidly growing and we are looking for a talented and motivated Surgery and Anesthesia Technician to join us.
Work with brilliant and caring board certified surgeons
Be a part of a team of technicians and surgeons that have a positive and engaged culture
Provide high quality patient care
Place arterial and central lines urinary catheters and NG Tubes
Administeringlocal and regional anesthesia
Perform critical care anesthesia to include mechanical ventilation and TIVA
Surgical preparation
Client interaction and education during initial consultations and dismissals
Bandage application and changes

Regular and complex soft tissue
Interventional radiology
Oncologic
We arelooking for an LVT VTS or an LVT on track to become a VTS in anesthesia.We love having not only independent intelligent patient-first techs withoutstandingtechnical and critical thinking skills but one that promotes a culture of teamwork mentorship willingness to learn and positivity.

Requirements:LVT with at least 4 years of experience in a specialty surgery and anesthesia setting and having knowledge about specialty surgical procedures surgical assisting experience instrumentation knowledge and being able toindependently run up to level 5 ASA anesthesia cases. A background in training junior staff is desired.

Schedule:
Four 10-hour shifts
Three 12-hour shifts may be available
Day shift
Monday to Friday
Rotate weekends
On call with a call in fee
License/Certification:
Veterinary Technician License required
Veterinary Technician Specialist: not required
Pay Range:
Starting at $28/hour
