Responsibilities for Senior level Mechanical Engineer:
The successful candidate shall be able to work independently with minimal supervision for tasks as follows:
- Able to communicate directly with clients.
- Plan conceptualize and create HVAC mechanical designs for new and retrofit buildings/projects in the mission critical environment
- Duct design/piping design experience
- Central plant cooling design
- Perform typical HVAC engineering calculations to support design work
- Create technical drawings plans and specifications (using computer software)
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and work with vendors and contractors
- Ensure project timelines are met and project stays within budget
- Able to travel to project sites
Qualifications :
Qualifications for Mechanical Engineer
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering
- EIT/PE a plus
- 10 years (min) of experience working for a design engineering firm including some Mission Critical (data center) design experience
- Firm grasp of engineering concepts including theoretical and practical applications for HVAC Systems
- Proficient in AutoCAD Revit and Microsoft Office programs
- Knowledge and familiarity in use of mechanical engineering software such as but not limited to heat loss/gain calcs pipe-flo CFD modeling etc.
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly to jr staff for project development
- Must be self-motivated and know project design steps/requirements
