Job Summary
Reporting to the Front of House Management Team. Server Assistants play a key support role in the guest experience by maintaining a clean organized dining environment and assisting Servers in delivering seamless service. With strong attention to detail and a high level of floor awareness they ensure all tables are properly set and that food and beverage service is executed to standard.
The Day to Day:
- Maintain table settings by checking for proper mise en place cleanliness and completeness
- Provide accurate information about food beverages wine and restaurant offerings when needed
- Assist with running food ensuring accurate delivery to guests without auctioning off plates
- Communicate proactively with Servers and Hosts to support efficient seating and service flow
- Practice a high level of floor awareness clearing and resetting tables as needed
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards and procedures
- Empty garbage change linen bags and manage proper disposal of waste and recycling
- Relay guest feedback or comments to Servers to support a positive and memorable dining experience
- Perform additional duties as assigned or required
Qualifications :
- Smart Serve Certification (required)
- Exceptional attention to detail and cleanliness standards
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Capable of taking direction prioritizing tasks and working efficiently
- Clear and professional oral communication skills
- Solid knowledge of food and beverage offerings with a willingness to learn
- Demonstrates a consistent sense of professional urgency and momentum in service delivery
- Flexible availability evenings weekends and holidays as needed.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
