Salary:

The annual salary for this position starts at $100000 Sales Incentive Plan and varies based on specific responsibilities and geographic location. Starting annual salary within this range will be determined based on the candidates experience qualifications and/or skillset. 

Summary

The Regional Sales Account Consultant is expected to retain and expand assigned accounts in their geographic area. They will serve as the key day-to-day customer contact.  Consultants promote and sell Signodes high-performance packaging system used in multiple industries to support the needs of the customer.  This position is based in North Carolina or surrounding states. 

Essential Functions

  • Sells through a consultative and solutions-driven method to provide a comprehensive packaging system to our customers.
  • Manage existing customers as end-to-end seller.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals by utilizing all Signode products and services.
  • Owns renewal and expansion selling (cross-sell and up-sell). Does not own landing new accounts.
  • Create account plans for top accounts and presents to customer representatives.
  • Pull through national account sales at the local level.
  • Acts as main point of contact for customers regarding ongoing business requirements and issues.
  • Resolves customer inquiries problems and complaints to maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain up-to-date sales opportunities and customer records in accordance with company instructions.
  • Provide industry insight to peers including product management product development and equipment sales teams.
  • Contribute information to the sales and marketing strategy by sharing market opportunitiesandcompetitive area information. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams on account management projects and department initiatives.
  • Arrange an effective Time and Territory Management Plan that maximizes sales efficiency.  
  • Participate in Training & Development opportunities in order to continually improve upgrade performance experience career development and advancement.
  • Assist the A/R department collecting past due balances and ensure your accounts are in good standing.

Qualifications :

Education:

Associates degree in Business Sales or similar field; Bachelors degree preferred.

Experience:

  • At least 2 years in consultative sales experience industrial sales experience preferred. Must live in the assigned territory; travel overnight up to 65%.
  • Knowledge of Signodes products and applications to sell solutions that meet the customers need.
  • Strong mechanical and manufacturing aptitude.
  • Ability to use a CRM and read dashboards on PowerBi with general MS Office proficiency.
  • Strong technology skills with social media knowledge to drive current customers and prospect engagement.
