Role Overview

• Provide inspiring and visionary leadership as Chair of the Department of Cancer Data Science which consists of forty-five faculty members with expertise in biostatistics computational oncology epidemiology and related fields in population sciences reporting jointly to the Chief Physician Executive and the Hospital President.

• Develop and execute a cohesive strategy that advances innovative quantitative methods and their translation across basic translational clinical and population science.

• Champion the integration of machine learning and artificial intelligence in all aspects of our mission discovery education and care delivery; serve as a key partner with senior leadership on institutional AI strategy and data governance.

• Strengthen and expand existing programs while building out new services including informaticsthrough strategic recruitment mentorship and faculty development.

• Foster crossdepartmental and enterprisewide partnerships; leverage MSKs unparalleled clinical genomic imaging and pathology data assets to accelerate discovery and translational work that improves patient outcomes.
