Location: Brooklyn NY
Contract Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift 8:00 AM 8:30 PM
Night Shift 8:00 PM 8:30 AM
Pay Rate: $65 $70 per hour
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (Adult) to deliver safe efficient and compassionate care in a fast-paced emergency department. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment technical expertise and the ability to work effectively during overnight shifts.
Key Responsibilities
Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity
Provide direct nursing care to adult emergency room patients
Initiate and manage IV therapy medication administration and phlebotomy
Monitor patients undergoing conscious sedation and respond to changes in condition
Administer emergency medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and protocols
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses treatments and discharge instructions
Maintain compliance with hospital policies safety standards and infection control guidelines
Respond effectively to medical emergencies trauma cases and critical care situations
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
Strong skills in IV insertion and phlebotomy
Experience with conscious sedation
Education Requirements
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program
Required Certifications & Licensure
Active New York State RN License
Primary Source Verification through NYS Department of Education (NYSED)
AHA BLS ACLS and PALS
TNCC (required for select facilities)
