CADD Technician

STV is seeking a CADD Tech with5 years of relevant experience for a position with our Transportation Group.

Primary responsibilities will include:

• Create and update design plans: Develop detailed roadway and transportation plans using OpenRoads Designer and MicroStation.

• Generate cross-sections and construction drawings ensuring adherence to project specifications and standards.

• Collaborate with engineers: Work closely with civil engineers to translate design concepts into accurate CADD drawings and models.

• Ensure compliance and accuracy: Perform quality checks to ensure all designs meet state DOT and federal standards while maintaining accuracy.

• Manage project files: Organize and maintain drawings and models using ProjectWise or similar document management systems.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or technical certification in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Civil Engineering Technology or a related field.

• 5 years of experience in drafting and designing for civil engineering projects.

• Proficiency in OpenRoads Designer (ORD) and MicroStation.

• Strong understanding of civil engineering design standards and specifications particularly in roadway transportation and site development projects.

• Experience creating and modifying plan sets cross-sections and profiles in ORD and MicroStation.

• Familiarity with file management and organization within ProjectWise or similar document management systems.

• Ability to interpret engineering plans specifications and design guidelines.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all deliverables.

• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with engineers designers and project manage
