Job Description

We are seeking a Platform Engineer to join our team and help build maintain and scale the infrastructure and tools that empower our developers to deliver reliable secure and high-performing services. If youre an experienced Platform Engineer or a Software Engineer with a passion for Platform and Developer Experience we would love to speak with you.

Responsibilities:

• Design build and maintain scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure in AWS

• Enable development teams to be owners of their systems and to deliver high impact products to our users

• Partner with SRE and security teams to help developers build resilient and secure applications

• Participate in our on-call and incident management process as part of a you build it you run it mentality

Requirements:

• 3 years of hands-on experience managing systems in AWS (EC2 S3 RDS IAM VPC etc.).

• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform Pulumi etc.).

• Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and tools (GitHub Actions CircleCI etc.).

• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Datadog CloudWatch etc.).

• Experience with containerisation and container orchestration (Docker ECS Kubernetes etc.).

• Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (Python Go or Bash).

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in distributed systems.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Advantageous but not essential:

• Experience with Windows systems applications

• Experience with serverless architectures

• Experience with defining advanced cloud networking setups

• Familiarity with SOC2 ISO 27001 or other compliance frameworks

Compensation for this role is a combination of salary and stock options. The anticipated base salary range is $130000 - $150000 per year. Actual compensation may vary based on specific qualifications experience and other job-related factors.

At Perk we take an IRL-first approach to work where our team works together in-person 3 days a week. As such this role requires you to be based within commuting distance of our hubs.
