The Physician Statewide Medical Director / Chief Medical Officer (CMO) is a physician board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and provides medical and clinical support to the Medicaid Program. The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) provides strategic clinical leadership and medical oversight for all Medicaid programs ensuring high-quality compliant and cost-effective care for members. Serving as the agencys principal clinical advisor the CMO shapes medical policy quality strategy and value-based initiatives while partnering with Managed Care Organizations providers and community stakeholders to improve health outcomes for high-need populations.
