Job Description: Medical Billing & Coding Specialist
Job Responsibilities:
- Accurately review enter and submit medical billing and coding information for Midwest Collision
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines in medical billing and coding
- Work closely with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve any billing discrepancies
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information and adhere to data protection policies
- Stay updated on changes in healthcare regulations and coding guidelines
Essential Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Medical Billing and Coding or related field
- Certification in Medical Coding (e.g. CPC) is preferred
- Proficient in medical terminology ICD-10 CPT and HCPCS coding systems
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Desired Experience:
- Experience working in a healthcare setting or medical office
- Knowledge of insurance billing processes and reimbursement procedures
