Job Summary/Description:
WMBF needs a strategic and innovative leader who can oversee all systems workflows and technology that enable instant and error-free communication of our content to our audience across all platforms. The ideal WMBF Chief Engineer is a driven and detailed technician who can not only design build and maintain the technology that runs our business but also leads and grows a team that provides critical customer service to our News Sales and Marketing departments.
Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- The WMBF Chief Engineer is responsible for our overall technical excellence. This position answers directly to the Vice President & General Manager.
- To succeed this leader will help advocate for the stations infrastructure and technology through continued investment regular maintenance and support of the individuals responsible for using it.
- Culture is important at WMBF. We insist on leading with a kind collaborative style while maintaining an elite standard and sense of urgency.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum five years of experience in local media technology with broadcast expertise preferred.
- Minimum of three years in management including experience leading people and strategic planning toward shared goals and objectives.
