The Product Support Undercarriage Specialist is responsible for representing the undercarriage management concept and undercarriage sales in a defined geographic territory. This position works with the Product Support sales team Major Account Representatives and Service Departments in order to strategically grow the undercarriage business with special projects recommendations and opportunity analysis. This position also monitors customers equipment undercarriage wear and
coordinates repairs at HOLT CAT support facilities and in the field.
The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis: 1) Demonstrated alignment with the companys mission and core business values; 2)Collaboration with key internal/external resources and 3) Ongoing self-development.
Essential Functions:
- Measures assesses and coordinates undercarriage repairs for a fleet ofequipment at multiple locations
- Monitors inspects and evaluates customers undercarriage conditions in order toforecast repairs
- Coordinates repair schedules with internal and external customers
- Creates undercarriage quotes for inspected machines and presents them to internal and external customers
- Creates inspection reports and other documentation as necessary
- Works as a member of a team to provide Undercarriage Wear Management
- Provides services that satisfy customer needs and achieves departmental goals
Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of CAT equipment specifically CAT Undercarriage including their designs repair and maintenance
- Knowledge and proficiency with current computer software and related hardware
- Ability to operate hand tools and CAT WearManagement System (WMS) tools
- Excellent work habits accuracy attention to detail and quality of work
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Interpersonal skills sufficient to engage with customers vendors and peers in order to exchange information motivate influence and persuade
- Time management skills in order to develop plans for structuring self and other resources and achievement of goals and work results to attain maximum productivity by establishing deadlines milestones tasks
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to apply logic and reasoning to identify and prevention to problems the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions conclusions approaches
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to be self-starting self-motivated and be a leader
- Ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands in order to grasp manipulate or assemble varying size objects
Education and Experience
- Minimum - High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-3 years CAT Equipment experience preferred
License and Certification:
- Must have a valid driver license
Travel:
- Travel may be required for this position
