Republic a 108-year old nationally recognized third generation enterprise headquartered in the Quad Cities has an immediate opening for a full-time delivery driver/warehouse employee at our Dubuque location.
Republic is one of the largest independent distributors of electrical heating air conditioning energy management refrigeration and sign support products in the entire addition to the headquarters in Davenport IA Republic has branches located in Dubuque Iowa Cedar Rapids Iowa Des Moines Iowa and Peoria Illinois.
Our Driver-Warehouse position supports warehouse activities as well as performing customer deliveries. So your typical responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
-Receiving shipments confirming quantities and inspecting shipments for damage
-Completing or assisting with receiving paperwork and transfer paperwork as required
-Putting away product and following standard warehouse procedures like First-In-First-out Inventory practices
-Occasional cycle counts and assisting other departments with inventory questions
-Delivering customer orders. This may include loading and unloading. Communicating with logistics departments and confirming order details.
-There may be other things that come up so additional duties may be assigned as needed.
To be qualified as a driver heres what we need you to have:
-Valid Drivers License and a clean driving record.
-CDL preferred; not required
-Good customer service skills
-Energetic
-Attention to detail
-Physically able to squat bend and lift over 25-50 lbs. frequently
-Pass a D.O.T. physical
-Able to pass a drug screen
