Description of Work
The clinical dietitian provides assessment of nutritional status and makes recommendations for nutritional needs. The clinical dietitian directs the development and implementation of a nutritional plan of care; counsels patients in the guidelines acceptance and selection of foods needed to meet nutritional goals; and counsels family and/or caregivers. The clinical dietitian will monitor progress and reassess as indicated to provide for long term care when needed. Position serves as a member of the Interdisciplinary treatment team and as a consultant for other staff due to nutritional knowledge and acts as a liaison between area of assignment medical staff and nutritional services department. Working hours will be Monday thru Friday 8:00am 5:00pm on call rotating weekends.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
Recruitment Range: $50879.00 - $76318.00

Minimum Education and Experience

Masters degree in foods and nutrition or a related area from an appropriately accredited institution that is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) and current registration in good standing administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR);
or
Bachelors degree in foods and nutrition dietetics or related area from an appropriately accredited institution that is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) and current registration in good standing administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and two years of experience in a clinical dietary setting.
