Job Summary

Responsibilities:

Assistclients inidentifyingpersonal goalsand strategiesfor recovery using both one-on-one and group sessions.

Support theclientsin goal setting and development of recoveryand relapse preventionstrategies andplanby providing skillsknowledgestrengths supports and resources to aid them.

Assistclients in navigation of multiple systemsand community resourcesincludingmedical services legalhousingtransportation childcareeducationDHS Health Departmentemployment opportunitiesetc.

Assistclientsin identifying recovery resources support remove barriers and facilitate connections in their local communities for purposes of maintaining short and long-term recovery following completion of theARCARES residential program.

Modeleffective coping techniques and self-help strategies.

Assistclients in developing empowermentskills and combating stigma through self-advocacy.

Maintainongoing follow-upcontact with women who complete the residential program for a period up to2 includesproviding ongoing support to womenresidingin the AR CARES Transitional program.

Participateas a member of themultidisciplinary treatment teamand provide pertinentinputregardingclient concerns progress etc.

Maintainclient records to include documentation of progressas well as developmentimplementation and monitoring of treatment/services provided.

Responsibility is assumed for continuing educational and professional development as needed and contributions are made to the professional growth of of continuing education etc. will be provided to the personnel department and copies kept in the employees record.

Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor or other applicable personnel.

Qualifications:

High School Diplomaor equivalent

A minimum of2 continuous years of abstinence-based recoveryfrom lived experience with substance use and/ora mentalhealthdisorders.

Must be currentlyapproved as a Peer in Training (PIT) andreceivingsupervision or be certifiedthrough Arkansas DHS as a Peer Recovery Specialist(PR) or an Advanced Peer Recovery Specialist (APR) or a Peer RecoveryPeer Supervisor (PRPS).

Basic computer skillsto be able to work withinanelectronic medical record emailMicrosoft applications including SharePoint etc.

Additional Mandatory Requirements:

Ability to document accurately and professionally.

Must be physically capableto receiveverbal and written directions.

Remains current in Crisis Prevention Intervention Training CPR & First Aid

Must be willing and able to work with all patients of Methodist Family Health regardless of gender.

Must have good auditory visual and olfactory ability.

Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects tools or controls.

Must be able tomaintaineffective audio visualdiscriminationand perception needed for making observations communicating with others reading and writing and operating office equipment and other treatment equipment.

Must be able to use a telephone to communicate verbally and a computer to communicate through written means to review information and enter/retrieve data to see and read characters on a computer screen chart or other treatment items.

Requires the ability to sit forlong periodsof time and intermittently walk stand stoop kneel crouch and reach with hands and arms.

Flu vaccinationismandatory andrequiredfor all positions (subject to qualified exemptions).

Level One - Full Access:Ongoingregular access to PHI of all forms while the employee is on duty and performing within the scope of his or her job as defined by the employees job description and Policy and access must be for cause consistent with job responsibilities and related to patients claims audits reviews and other legitimate business purposes.
