One of these teams is Builder Copilot where were reimagining how people create automation with the help of AI. Copilot is Zapiers AI-powered building experienceguiding users from high-level intent to fully configured production-ready systems. The team works at the intersection of generative AI complex UI and real-time feedback designing experiences that seamlessly shift between conversational guidance and direct manipulation of the product. As a UX Engineer on this team youd partner closely with design product and engineering to prototype new interaction patterns push on the boundaries of AI-assisted creation and help define what intuitive trustworthy AI tooling looks like in a professional workflow builder.

About You

Were looking for experienced UX Engineers who bring:

• Strong experience in React and TypeScript with deep attention to code quality maintainability and performance

• Demonstrated ability to translate Figma (or similar) design systems into scalable production-ready component libraries

• A keen eye for visual polish interaction detail and animation quality

• Fluency in accessibility standards (WCAG ARIA) and inclusive design principles

• Familiarity with design tokens component theming and responsive layout systems

• Experience designing and implementing UI for complex stateful workflows or builder-style products

• Experience documenting patterns components and motion guidelines for shared use

• A track record of tight collaboration with Product Designers to maintain high design fidelity

• Comfort working in ambiguous fast-evolving problem spaces where patterns are still being defined

• Strong interest in the leading edges of AI-assisted product experiences including conversational and guided workflows

• (Very nice to have) Experience shipping AI-powered features in production including consideration for trust failure states and iteration

• (Nice to have) Comfort with lightweight backend integration or prototyping tools (e.g. Storybook or Framer)

• Curiosity and craftsomeone who obsesses over the small details that make big differences

• A mindset of continuous improvementacross tools process and personal growth
