Role Overview
Brightstar Care of Chicago isseeking a part-time HR Generalist to support the people operations in our growing home care organization. This role will focus on employee lifecycle support compliance and day-to-day HR operations for a workforce that includes caregivers nurses and office staff. The ideal candidate is hands-on organized and comfortable working in a regulated healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support employee onboarding offboarding and personnel file management
- Assist with compliance-related HR processes (I-9s licensure tracking trainings policy acknowledgments)
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding policies benefits and HR procedures
- Coordinate with payroll and benefits vendors to ensure accurate employee records
- Support performance documentation corrective actions and employee relations matters
- Assist with maintaining HR policies and employee handbook updates
- Help track required trainings certifications and annual acknowledgments
- Support leadership with ad hoc HR projects as needed
Qualifications
- 3 years of HR experience (healthcare or home care strongly preferred)
- Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Experience supporting hourly field-based workforces a plus
- Strong attention to detail and documentation
- Comfortable working independently in a part-time role
- HR certification (PHR SHRM-CP) a plus but not required
