Description of Work
The Childrens Needs Assessment Clinic is a program at the Center and requires an RN to assist in the overall assessment process coordination and running of the Clinic appointment to include associated documentation requirements. This RN will work closely with the Assessment Clinic Coordinator to fulfill these duties as their primary responsibility and will be assigned to assist in a residential professional nurse role as time allows and/or in emergent situations.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
Recruitment Range: $70000.00 - $85000.00

Must be licensed to practice as a registered nurse in North Carolina or in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. See the North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON) website for a list of participating states candidate must be able to pass Healthcare Provider CPR and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) written and physical requirements as a condition of employment. Successful candidate must have a valid Driver License.
This Position Is Exempt And Is EXEMPT From Certain Provisions Of The State Human Resources Act (GS 126)
This Position Is Designated As Mandatory And Must Report Or Stay Over During Adverse Weather Events.

Scheduled work hours/shift: 8am-5pm 5 days/week withflexibility to work 6:30 am-3:00pm; andoccasional rotating 12-hour shift weekends 6:30a-7p; schedule adjustments as needed/required.
We offer flexible shifts and pay additions for hours worked:

1st 6:30am-3pm 10% Weekend Only
2nd 2:30pm-11pm 15% Weekday & 25% Weekend
3rd 10:45pm-6:45am 20% Weekday & 30% Weekend
*Eligibility for Sign-on Bonus*
Toqualify for the Sign-on Bonus a newly hired permanent full-time or permanent part-time employee must work 30 to 40 hours per week to be eligible. Those who are eligible and working less than 40 hours a week will receive a prorated rate.
An employee is not eligible for a sign-on bonus if:
The employee has held a position in the North Carolina State government including the judicial system or the University of North Carolina system within the last 12 months (the employee shall remain ineligible for 12 months from the separation date)
The employee has previously received a sign-on bonus from any State agency
DHHS has paid any contract placement or recruitment fees.

About Murdoch Developmental Center:
MDC is one of three regional developmental centers operating as part of the Division of State Operated Healthcare Facilities (DSOHF). MDC in Butner serves 25 counties in central NC. Murdoch has approximately 1600 employees providing residential services and supports to people with IDD complex behavioral challenges and/or medical conditions whose clinical treatment needs exceed the level of care available in the addition to regional admissions for adults MDC operates four statewide programs which include support for children and adolescents with complex needs. Centrally located MDC is convenient to Raleigh Durham and Chapel Hill.
