RIVER

We are a free and confidential service for adults (18) in Liverpool who are experiencing difficulties with substances.

We believe everyone has the ability to make positive changes. We work with individuals families carers and professionals to offer support thats right for you.

Whether you need one-to-one help group sessions or access to medication and treatment were here for you.

Volunteers play a crucial role in helping us bring our vision to life and deliver our services effectively. Their dedication strengthens the quality reach and accessibility of our support allowing us to help even more people.

Responsibilities

Purpose of role:

At River you will be working with people to help them change the direction of their life grow as an individual and live life to its full potential.

As a Recovery Support Volunteer you will work closely with our Recovery Coordinators helping them manage their caseloads and supporting service users throughout every stage of their treatment journey. Your role may include completing assessments developing risk management plans and delivering onetoone support. You may also contribute to raising Ketamine awareness out in the community and among professionals.

  • Interviews: Will take place towards the last two weeks of February2026
  • Training will start on the third week of March (1 day per week for 6 weeks).
