310T Burlington Truck and Coach Technician

Altruck International Truck Centres is seeking a highly skilled and experienced 310T Truck andCoach Technician to join our team at our Burlington location. (5280 South Service RoadBurlington)

Job Summary:
As a 310T Truck and Coach Technician you will be performing repairs and maintenance on medium
and heavy-duty trucks ensure that they are in safe and reliable working condition. If you have a

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance safeties and repairs on heavy-duty trucks including dieselengines transmissions brakes suspension systems and electrical systems
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment
• Conduct inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems
• Use manufacturers service manuals and technical data to repair and maintain vehicles
• Communicate with customers to explain work needed
• Work efficiently and effectively to meet tight deadlines and minimize downtime
• Attend company sponsored training classes and dealer specific training courses asscheduled by management
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve processes and reduce waste
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary training in a related field (e.g. automotive technology) an asset
• 1-3 years of experience as a heavy-duty truck technician or equivalent experience in the
  industry
• Licensed 310T Truck & Coach Technician
• Valid G class drivers license with a good driving record.
• Must have necessary hand tools.
• Able to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with a range of medium and heavy trucks
Familiarity with computerized diagnostic equipment and software
Experience with fleet management software (e.g. Fleet Complete)
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Basic computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office)
