About the Role
This dynamic 12-month opportunity will be part of a Total Rewards team that is shaping how ATCO attracts motivates and retains top talentboth domestically and internationally. This position is responsible for ongoing planning design development administration and implementation of new and current compensation programs and supporting frameworks. Youll collaborate with HR Business Partners and Leaders helping ensure the Company remains competitive in evolving and diverse markets.
What You Get to Do:
Lead compensation surveys and engage with external consultants to support benchmarking activities.
Deliver advanced analytical and project support for compensation reviews including competitive benchmarking designing compensation structures modeling and cost projections.
Participate in the planning delivery and completion of the annual salary and bonus programs.
Provide ongoing consultation and subject-matter expertise to HR Business Partners Managers and Senior Leadership on compensation-related policies programs practices and administration.
Contribute to the creation of compensation strategies in support of business goals and lead special projects as assigned.
Provide analytical support for a variety of compensation policies and programs and recommendation for improvements
What You Bring:
Post-secondary education in Human Resources Finance or related field
Three years of compensation experience. Candidates with considerable experience may be leveled at a senior advisor level.
Understanding of total compensation compensation surveys and market trends
Depth of knowledge in conducting and analyzing complex quantitative research involving human resources data and providing advice and recommendations to decision makers
Proven track record of ability to work independently and lead/complete projects in a timely fashion as well as collaboratively as part of a team
Demonstrated high level proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office suite applications
Experience with international compensation executive compensation and/or union compensation would be an asset
Experience with HRIS applications (Oracle PeopleSoft SAP) is an asset
Certified Compensation Professional (World at Work) and/or Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation is desirable
