Salary Range: $79770.00 - $131620.00

Recruitment Range: $117500.00 - $131620.00

*A Sign-on bonus of $15000 may be offered to the successful applicant(s) of this posting contingent on the 2025-2026 Budget Approval.

The Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:

• Extensive knowledge skill & ability in age-appropriate psychological testing psychopathology & diagnosis.
• Knowledge of specific psychological tests including tests of intellectual ability personality forensic specific testing and neuropsychological screening instruments.
• Knowledge of Forensic Psychology including evaluation of competency to stand trial and NGRI defense issues.
• If not licensed must apply for such within 30 days of employment and successfully attain licensure no later than the second sitting for the national and state licensure examination.
• ADA physical requirements will be discussed in detail during the interview process.

This Position Is Exempt And Is EXEMPT From Certain Provisions Of The State Human Resources Act (GS 126)

***Remote/Hybrid schedule availability***

This is a full-time position and eligible for the full State benefits package. The normal work hours are Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm; however flexibility is available to work on a remote/hybrid schedule.

*Eligibility for Sign-on Bonus

To qualify for the Sign-on Bonus a newly hired permanent full-time or permanent part-time employee must work 30 to 40 hours per week to be eligible. Those who are eligible and working less than 40 hours a week will receive a prorated rate.

An employee is not eligible for a sign-on bonus if:

• The employee has held a position in the North Carolina State government including the judicial system or the University of North Carolina system within the last 12 months (the employee shall remain ineligible for 12 months from the separation date)
• The employee has previously received a sign-on bonus from any State agency
• DHHS has paid any contract placement or recruitment fees.

CRH is a State-of-the Art psychiatric hospital located in Butner NC. CRH is one of three regional state psychiatric hospitals in North Carolina whose purpose is to diagnose and treat children adolescents and adults with mental illness. Our location is ideal with four seasons mild temperatures and provides an easy commute to the N.C. mountains or beaches. Butner possesses small town charm but is within 30 minutes of a major metropolitan area including Research Triangle Park Raleigh Chapel Hill and Durham NC.   Minimum Education and Experience

  Eligibility for licensure in North Carolina under the provisions of the NC Psychology Practice Act (G.S. 90-270) and two years of professional psychological experience one of which must be postdoctoral. Refer to the law for specifics regarding experience requirements.
