Description

DUTIES:

  • Design & implement efficient & optimal networks incl: LANs WANs Internet intranets software defined networks & other data communications systems.
  • Development & management of network products & services as well as supporting local property LAN services worldwide.
  • Lead cross team relationships & partners w/ all business disciplines other MI teams outsourcing vendors & external suppliers to define & implement network roadmap building & enforcing standards defined in it.
  • Define & support service delivery & operational support standards for our Property Networks partner w/ global technology peer teams to meet service level requirements & resolve service delivery issues across portfolio.
  • Ensure overall requirements by customers & peer delivery & operations groups are met.
  • Provide senior tech engagement for all phases of infrastructure lifecycle from ideation through execution & ongoing management & support of end-to-end network servicing all Property Network systems.
  • Develop & execute new initiatives to simplify standardize optimize & automate network designs tooling & operations to reduce implementation cycle times eliminate service downtime optimize performance & ensure that all security & compliance requirements are fully governed.
  • Develop complex global distributed infrastructure solutions.
  • Provide program management assistance & contribute input to help manage project schedules risks & costs.
  • Manage products & solutions incl: design low level engineering & delivery of new hardware systems for applications.
  • Define & implement an operational Recovery Time Objective (RTO) & Recovery Point Objective (RPO) strategy for assigned Infrastructure areas.
  • Establish cross team level relationships & partnering w/ all Business disciplines & other MI teams to define IT network services meet service level requirements & serve as an escalation point to resolve issues.
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement & structured processes & procedures that support a zero-fault culture.
  • Deliver tech support to meet defined service levels that are benchmarked against industry standards & metrics.
  • Monitor area usage/demand of services provided by either internal organization or outsources partners to ensure that shared services actual expenditures are in line w/ planned spending.
  • Track actual utilization of services & products incl: reporting of supplier performance in meeting business service expectations & service levels.
  • Ensure key technology management processes are effectively managed incl: governance operations planning & change management. Define requirements strategy solutions & standards for Property.
  • Network infrastructure to meet business needs & adhere w/ enterprise architecture & security standards.
  • Approve & oversee projects to implement & maintain services. Partner on all aspects of technology lifecycle incl: requirements product & services management planning procurement installation support & retirement in conjunction w/ other Infrastructure VPs Enterprise Architecture & business planning teams.
  • Continuously improve operations processes Develop & present best practices tech concepts & technologies for innovative solutions.

REQUIREMENTS:Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science Software Engineering Information Technology or in a closely related field followed by 7 years of progressively responsible professional experience with Network Engineering.

Other required experience:

  • 5 years experience in an IT infrastructure support role.
  • 5 years experience with implementation of WAN LAN and datacenter networks with a focus on mission-critical customer-facing applications and services.
  • 5 years experience in firewall (Cisco Juniper Fortinet and Watchguard) management tool such as Firemon security support DNS NTP Network Tools & Management.
  • 5 years experience with common routing protocols (e.g. OSPF BGP) IPv6 VPN etc. across a global distributed network.
  • 5 years hands-on experience with common routing and switching platforms (Cisco Juniper HP/Aruba etc.).
  • 5 years experience in WAN and campus LAN support.
  • 5 years experience with legacy networking routing protocols and the interaction with cloud interconnects.
  • 5 years experience with network load balancers WAN optimizers and Network virtualization.
  • 5 years experience in delivering written documents detailing network solutions and diagrams.
