Nights

In partnership with the IDU Leadership develop and lead the Innovation Design Unit including developing processes to support innovation from idea generation to project implementation. Motivate and coach staff to drive innovation and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Collaborate with stakeholders across departments and organizations to identify opportunities for innovation in patient care. Comprehend complex requirements and translate them into innovative solutions. Build relationships with key stakeholders to drive innovation initiatives forward. Take a holistic point of view to patient care and identify opportunities for innovation and practice or process change that can improve patient outcomes.

Coordinate the required resources for patient care delivery. While on site problem-solve and expedite communications with other health care providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Provide delegate and coordinate nursing care with other health care providers to meet holistic care needs of a designated group of patients. Ensure patient satisfaction and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Partner closely with colleagues to serve as a clinical expert regularly model/mentor and train colleagues on technical skills make decisions regarding daily priorities for the work group provide guidance to and/or assist staff on non-routine or escalated issues.

The IDU will rigorously pilot new models of care by leveraging processes technologies and facility design concepts within a platform for continuous discovery.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 18 months current clinical experience required.
Bachelors degree in nursing (BSN) required.
Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills required.
Ability to instruct and collaborate with others required.
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Nebraska or current compact state license required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
Ability to demonstrate interprofessional collaboration flexibility patient-centered care continuous learning professionalism accountability perseverance and drive for improvement required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience leading/supervising a health care team or in a related area preferred.
Prior experience in a management/leadership position preferred.
Critical Care level experience
Based on position prior experience in one or more of the following areas including cardiology cardiac drip management critical care emergency department medical-surgical cardiovascular rehabilitation telemetry oncology neonatal intensive care solid organ transplant quality assurance related to health care perioperative and special procedures in applicable nursing specialty area preferred.
Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Word Outlook and PowerPoint preferred.
Ability to demonstrate initiative teamwork and flexibility preferred.
Ability to quickly adopt new technology and utilize resources related to technology
Magnet approved certification in related area preferred.
Experience with evidence-based practice process improvement facility or project implementation preferred
Relationship-building skills to collaborate effectively with key stakeholders preferred
Curiosity to continuously seek out and explore new ideas and approaches to patient care preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills to inspire and influence staff and stakeholders preferred
Ability to multi-task and work-through competing priorities preferred.
Ability to solve complex problems through a well ordered approach preferred.
Ability to balance and prioritize diverse clinical and leadership responsibilities preferred.
Ability to speak read and write Spanish and English in some clinic settings preferred.
