CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE - LICENSING DEPARTMENT

Job Location:

1700 W. Washington Street Ste 105 Phoenix AZ 85007
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 - 5:00
This position will work in-office during training (estimated 6-12 months).
A hybrid/remote schedule within Arizona may be available 3-4 days a week once performance metrics are met and maintained.

Job Summary:

The Registrar of Contractors (ROC) Licensing Department oversees 60000 active construction licenses for the State of Arizona. This fast-paced unit processes new license applications and related license maintenance requests. Along with processing licensing documents the department also provides assistance to licensed contractors and members of the public in person over the phone and by email.

The Licensing Department Representative is a critical position within the Licensing Department. Using applicable laws and statutes the position evaluates and makes determinations on construction license applications that are submitted to the agency. This position is part of a licensing team and reports to a Licensing Department Supervisor.

Job Duties:

Review research and input information for license applications.
Provide excellent customer service to customers in person over the phone and in writing.
Effectively communicate information to customers management and your team.
Use critical thinking skills to review documents for accuracy/completeness and process accordingly.
Update and maintain licensing records by reviewing and inputting information.
Conduct research and exercise independent judgment on licensing issues.
Promote a positive image of the agency to license applicants licensees and the public.

Excellent computer skills (The ROC is 100% digital. All work is performed on the computer.)

Positive outlook and friendly disposition

Excellent organizational skills for tracking items and follow-ups
Good spelling and grammar skills
Willing to help out team-members or do new tasks not previously assigned
Comfortable being assigned front-desk and phone duty on a rotating schedule

Ability to implement process/procedure changes into their work product
Excellent work ethic
Enjoys a sense of satisfaction in helping candidates become Arizona Licensed Contractors
