Job Summary
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Verifies correct material and documentation for production run
- Installs and aligns dies in press according to specifications
- Adjusts ram stroke to specified height as needed
- Threads and positions coil material through feed line equipment into progressive die
- Positions and adjusts feed line equipment scrap trays and part containers
- Operates automatic press line observing operation to detect misalignment or malfunction
- Reads and interprets blueprints and assembly instructions
- Inspects work pieces for conformance to specifications and makes adjustments to correct errors. Isolates non-conforming product
- Labels scans and moves product per procedures
- Completes basic machine troubleshooting and corrective maintenance
- Cleans and lubricates machines and maintains work area in a neat and orderly fashion
- Maintains a safe environment by following procedures and highlighting any potential hazards
- Addresses press line problems by enlisting the help of support staff
- Signals for needed inventory using computer
- Documents actions by entering production and inventory computer transactions and by completing quality forms
- Able to identify analyze and address production problems with the aid of production support
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- A High school diploma or GED
- Attention to detail
- Excellent hand-eye coordination including the ability to grasp manipulate and assemble parts and components
- Physical stamina and strength
- Ability to lift at least 40 lbs
- Able to perform repetitive tasks while standing or sitting for extended periods of time
- Mechanical and technical skills a plus
- Previous manufacturing experience a plus
