Job Summary
Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - Gastroenterology
Join a dedicated healthcare team in Bay City Michigan providing exceptional gastroenterology services. This opportunity offers ongoing 24-hour call coverage within a supportive community environment. The practice is located near a well-equipped hospital with an accessible GI clinic creating a seamless patient care experience. Job Responsibilities:
- Provide 24-hour call coverage from Monday 7am to Friday 7pm.
- Perform ERCP procedures as required.
- Collaborate with hospitalist support and local colorectal surgeons.
- Ensure high-quality patient care within the GI clinic located less than half a mile from the hospital.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology (Required).
- Current Michigan medical license (Required).
- Experience with ERCP procedures (Required).
- No malpractice history (Required).
- Local provider preference (Preferred).
- Ability to work using reverse billing systems.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Valid Michigan medical license.
- DEA registration at the time of start.
- Documentation of required vaccinations including Hep B MMR Varicella and Flu.
- TB screening within 12 months.
- TDAP vaccination within the last 10 years.
