The NC Department of Administration is the business manager for North Carolina state government. The department oversees Government Operations such as building construction purchasing and contracting for goods and services maintaining facilities managing state vehicles acquiring and disposing of real property and operating auxiliary services such as courier mail delivery and the sale of state and federal surplus property. Additionally the department manages many of the states advocacy programs that provide assistance and services to diverse segments of the states population that have been traditionally underserved.

Job Duties: Support the research team in their work fact checking vetting and monitoring news and social media.
Major Task to be Performed: Vet organizations and people pull press clips from TVeyes prepare background briefing materials fact check speeches and documents.
Final Product or Outcome Anticipated: Multiple products including but not limited to memos and research documents.
Academic Majors Desired: Public policy political science government public administration and will consider related fields.
2026 State of North Carolina Internship Period: Monday May 18 Friday July 24 2026
