Established in 2000 the John F. Welch Technology Center (JFWTC) in Bengaluru is GE Aerospaces multidisciplinary research and engineering center. Pushing the boundaries of innovation every day engineers and scientists at JFWTC have contributed to hundreds of aviation patents pioneering breakthroughs in engine technologies advanced materials and additive manufacturing.
Role Overview:
- Lead and execute the project plans following Product design process.
- Develop and maintain a product architecture which supports the multi-year product plan as development progresses.
- Effectively communicates with Mission based teams across organizations and vendors to meet the project requirements.
- Lead & Collaborate with Product & Customer facing team in the organizations.
- Lead the technical team with appropriate technical and project reviews.
- Support the development of plans for R&D to support multi-year objectives across multiple related product developments.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in engineering
- Overall 5 years experience in Product Design working with design or research team.
- Exposure to project management skills.
- Experience in developing and prototyping electromechanical products.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters Degree/Ph.D in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Robot Engineering
- Experience in design/analysis of Aerospace Engine.
- 2 years of design leadership experience with project members under guidance and leadership.
- Experience with New Product Development process from concept stages to product launch.
- Exposure to supplier/vendor management.
