Job Summary

A forward-thinking secondary school in York is seeking a committed Science Teacher to join its established Science department from January 2026.

About the Role:
This is a full-time role teaching Science across KS3KS4 with opportunities to specialise in Biology Chemistry or Physics depending on experience. You will contribute to practical learning and departmental improvement.

The school serves around 1200 students and is Ofsted rated Good with strong leadership improving outcomes and excellent behaviour. The Science department is well resourced with modern labs and experienced technicians supporting practical work.

We are looking for someone who:
Holds a Science-related degree
Holds QTS/PGCE
Can teach Science confidently at KS3KS4
Is practical organised and engaging
Values teamwork and high standards
