Job Summary
A welcoming and ambitious secondary school in York is seeking a motivated English Teacher to join its English department from January 2026.
About the Role:
This full-time role includes teaching English Language and Literature across KS3KS4 contributing to curriculum development assessment and whole-school literacy initiatives.
About the School:
The school serves approximately 1100 students and is Ofsted rated Good with inspectors highlighting positive behaviour strong leadership and improving academic outcomes. The English department is collaborative and well supported with shared planning and resources.
We are looking for someone who:
Holds an English-related degree
Holds QTS/PGCE
Can teach English confidently at KS3KS4
Is organised reflective and enthusiastic
Works well within a supportive team
