Job Summary
A prestigious Independent School in the York area is seeking an engaging History or Geography Teacher to join its Humanities department from January 2026.
About the Role:
This is a full-time position teaching History or Geography across KS3KS5 supporting academic excellence and contributing to enrichment activities such as trips lectures and societies.

The school educates approximately 750 pupils and is known for its strong pastoral care small class sizes and high academic standards. Humanities is a popular subject area supported by experienced staff and excellent resources.
We are looking for someone who:
Holds a relevant Humanities degree
Holds QTS/PGCE
Can teach confidently up to KS5
Is passionate and knowledgeable about their subject
Enjoys working in a close-knit academic community
