Job Summary
Position: Sales Rep
Location: Schaumburg IL
Salary Range: $70000 $75000 (DOE)
Travel: Required (domestic travel to customer sites)
Support MEC machine clients by answering questions creating quotes providing technical support
and taking orders.
Key Responsibilities
Sales
Develops existing accounts by checking customers buying history suggesting related
and new items and explaining technical features.
Fills orders by transferring orders to fulfillment communicating expected delivery date
and explaining stock-outs.
Quote on parts tooling and machines as requested by clients.
Visit client site for service maintenance training or just maintain good relationship with
them
Closes new accounts by answering telephone and e-mail inquiries and verifying and
entering information.
Answer technical questions and solve clients issues on phone or email.
Communicate with Engineers in Headquarters to get answers to clients questions
acquire knowledge of products and client training methods.
Handle logistics for related items.
Support other sales department staffs as needed.
Tradeshow support
Handle the logistics involved in executing each event - handled both independently and
as part of a team.
Coordinate marketing materials for the events.
Acquire new client accounts by calling prospects after the events.
Other
Attend training at headquarters to keep up the product knowledge as needed.
Other assigned tasks from EVP
Qualifications
experience in industrial machine sales or technical support.
2. Able to go on overnight business trip up to 30%.
3. Must have valid drivers license
4. Willingness and ability to travel domestically to customer sites
5. English fluency required
6. Japanese language skills are a plus but not required
7. Must be authorized to work in the United States
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit and stand. Also
