We are looking for Clinical nurse Manager 2-Medical Ward to our hospital in Dublin.
Responsibilities
Manage and deliver high-quality evidence-based patient care using a structured care-planning approach ensuring dignity respect safety and compliance with professional and legislative standards.
Provide strong professional clinical and operational leadership with responsibility for the coordination assessment planning delivery and evaluation of care within designated clinical areas.
Practice in accordance with professional clinical guidelines local policies and procedures current legislation and the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Irelands Code of Professional Conduct.
Manage own caseload and oversee multidisciplinary collaboration ensuring effective communication continuity of care discharge planning and seamless transitions between services.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation utilise IT systems including PiMS and Electronic Health Records (EHR/BonsConnect) and contribute to clinical audits research and quality improvement initiatives.
Ensure robust health and safety practices including risk assessment and management infection prevention and control medication safety incident reporting and compliance with HIQA and JCI standards.
Lead supervise and support nursing and non-nursing staff through effective workforce planning performance management staff meetings and the promotion of professionalism diversity and respectful workplace culture.
Support education and training by engaging in continuous professional development supervising student nurses contributing to staff induction and education programmes and fostering a positive learning environment.
Manage resources efficiently including staffing equipment budgets and service planning while leading practice development change initiatives and the implementation of nursing policies and procedures.
Actively participate in nursing management structures promote effective internal and external liaison manage conflict professionally maintain required records and reports and contribute to the ongoing development of the role and service.
Requirements
Registered General Nurse with active registration on the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) register and evidence of good character and health to fulfil the duties of the role.
A minimum of five years post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting within the last nine years including at least two years at Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (CNM1) level and two years experience in a medical ward within a multidisciplinary environment.
Completion of a recognised post-registration qualification relevant to the role (e.g. management) or a commitment to undertake same within an agreed timeframe.
Demonstrated professional competence and leadership capability with the ability to lead on clinical practice and deliver safe high-quality patient-centred care.
Strong people management skills including leadership planning organising decision-making and effective resource and budget awareness with a focus on value for money.
Sound knowledge of healthcare governance and quality frameworks including JCI HIQA JAG or similar accreditation systems as well as relevant legislation HR policies health and safety and infection prevention and control.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others manage sensitive situations with empathy and build and maintain effective professional relationships.
Proven analytical problem-solving and evidence-based decision-making skills demonstrating sound professional judgement resilience and adaptability in complex clinical and operational situations.
