Job Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical Reference Data Specialist with strong technical skills in SQL and Power BI to join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing validating and enhancing critical reference data within our internal systems. You will be tasked with writing complex queries and scripts to identify data discrepancies performing root-cause analysis and implementing long-term technical fixes.

Key Responsibilities

Data Management: Maintain and validate reference data across internal systems to ensure consistency.

SQL Development: Write troubleshoot and optimize SQL queries and scripts to resolve data errors

Reporting & Visualization: Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.

Root-Cause Analysis: Investigate recurring data issues and recommend scalable long-term solution.

Collaboration: Work closely with business and technology teams to drive data accuracy and support quality improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Expertise: Strong SQL skills including querying scripting and optimization.

BI Tools: Hands-on experience with Power BI specifically in data modeling dashboard creation and DAX.

Domain Knowledge: A solid understanding of reference data concepts within the BFSI or Investment Banking domain (e.g. trade support operations).

Analytical Thinking: Proven ability to perform data validation and correction using scripts.

Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a focus on resolving complex data integrity issues.

Nice to Have

Experience with Python or other scripting languages for automation.
Exposure to Data Governance frameworks or specific Data Quality tools.
