Entry-Level Low Voltage / Systems Technician
We are seeking a motivated entry-level Low Voltage / Systems Technician to support installation activities on a hyperscale data center campus. This role is ideal for candidates who are early in their career and have had exposure to low voltage systems such as cabling security A/V or fire systems and are looking to gain hands-on experience in a mission-critical environment.
This position is field-focused and installation-oriented. No software configuration system commissioning or provisioning work is required.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the installation of low voltage systems within a hyperscale data center environment
Support field teams working on:
Structured cabling (copper and fiber)
CCTV cameras and related infrastructure
Access control devices (card readers door hardware cabling)
Fire alarm and life safety system components (device installation support only)
Pull route label and terminate cabling per project standards
Mount devices raceway conduit and support hardware
Follow site safety requirements and data center protocols at all times
Maintain clean organized work areas in active construction environments
Communicate effectively with leads foremen and field engineers regarding progress and issues
Document work completed and assist with basic quality checks
Required Qualifications
Exposure to at least one of the following areas:
Low voltage cabling
CCTV / cameras
Access control
Fire alarm systems
A/V systems
Prior experience on a commercial construction site industrial facility or data center project (even limited or internship-level)
Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools
Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced mission-critical environment
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
Ability to stand bend climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs
Preferred (Not Required)
Previous data center exposure (hyperscale or enterprise)
Familiarity with cable labeling standards and pathway routing
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
Low voltage electrical or construction-related training or coursework
