Job Summary
Role: Accountant III
Location: Newport Beach CA
Position: W2
Summary role description: Accounting Management experience in managing the accounting close and financial reporting for an insurance or financial services company. Experience with both GAAP and Statutory (blue books) financial reporting required.
Expectations:
- Provide support to accounting close team during ERP implementation period support may include backfill on BAU close process work or implementation/testing support for the ERP system
- BAU backfill may include but not limited to:
- Review and evaluation of actual financial results for the divisions analyze trends and report quarterly financial information
- Preparation or first level of review of financial reporting packages financial analysis of line of business reporting reconciliations journal entries financial reporting on GAAP and Statutory basis etc.
- Business support to Divisional FP&A teams on quarterly results
- ERP Implementation support may include but not limited to
- Validation of data conversion output
- Analysis and documentation of future state changes in the quarterly close processes
- Analysis and setup of close tools on the new technology platform
- Participation in mock close testing
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting and reporting
- Broad-based financial and leadership background
- CPA Preferred
- Analyze financial results and trends
- Experience in insurance or financial service industries
