Job Summary
Job Title: GIS Analyst
Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Duration: 4 Months
Location: Saint Paul MN 55114
Shift: 1st Shift (8:00 AM 4:30 PM)
Role Overview
- Identify analyze and document business and process requirements
- Validate requirements define test scripts and maintain traceability
- Conduct research using primary data sources to identify trends
- Support AS-IS and TO-BE process documentation
- Assist in feasibility studies and solution recommendations
- Retrieve validate and analyze structured data for reporting
- Support dashboard updates and data quality issue identification
- Work under supervision
Key Responsibilities
- Process drone imagery to create georeferenced raster mosaics
- Perform raster and vector GIS analysis for farm fields and orchards
- Generate maps reports and zonal analysis outputs
- Create and edit shapefiles using QA workflows
- Prepare processed data for customer delivery
- Communicate project status to lead analysts
Required Skills
- Data collection analysis and reporting
- Business requirements and gap analysis (AS-IS / TO-BE)
- Planning assessment and documentation
- GIS tools (ArcGIS / QGIS)
- Spreadsheet and presentation tools
- Strong verbal and written communication
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Geography Environmental Science GIS or related field
- GIS Certificate acceptable
- Experience with raster and vector data
- Remote sensing knowledge preferred
- 7 12 months experience with standard systems or procedures
Work Environment
- Office-based role with computer and phone work
- Requires extended sitting and close vision
