We are seeking for an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week night assignment on a High-Risk Antepartum unit caring for patients from 6 weeks to 41 weeks gestation. The unit manages complex maternal conditions and requires strong antepartum skills and C-section circulation experience. First-time travelers are accepted. Floating to Postpartum is required.
ResponsibilitiesProvide nursing care to high-risk antepartum patients (PTL previa preeclampsia diabetes hypertension PROM twins substance use disorder in pregnancy)
Support care for fetal demise/loss and postpartum mothers with infants in the NICU (no newborn care on unit)
Assist with sterile speculum exams (effacement dilation station presentation)
Circulate for C-sections as needed
Administer and monitor magnesium sulfate insulin drips anticoagulation therapy
Manage PCA pumps syringe pumps and maintain PICC/CVC lines
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe evidence-based maternal care
Float to Postpartum unit per staffing needs
Document care accurately per unit standards
Minimum 2 years recent L&D/Antepartum RN experience
Screen out candidates with < 2 years or no C-section circulation experience
AWHONN Advanced BLS and NRP REQUIRED
Intermediate AWHONN requires manager approval
First-time travelers accepted
Floating to Postpartum required
Active RN license (compact honored per facility policy)
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
2 years Labor & Delivery / High-Risk Antepartum experience
Demonstrated experience circulating for C-sections
Experience managing high-acuity maternal conditions
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
AWHONN Advanced BLS NRP Required
ACLS Preferred
Work Setting: High-Risk Antepartum

IV Therapy: Maintain PICC/CVC lines
