DescriptionThe Global Director Sourcing Factory Supplies (MRO) is responsible for developing world class strategy processes and tools designed to deliver an annual operating plan for savings working capital improvements as well as service delivery excellence with a direct impact on the financial performance of the businesses.
This position plays a key role in optimizing the supply chain ensuring cost efficiency and maintaining strong supplier relationships with direct responsibility for Honeywells global Factory Supplies (MRO) strategy execution and results across Honeywell as a part of the global procurement team within the Integrated Supply Chain function.
You will report directly to our Senior Director of Indirect Sourcing and you will work out of our Monterrey Mexico location on a hybrid 3/5 work schedule.
Responsibilities- Responsible for leveraging global Factory Supplies (MRO) spend of $350M across the businesses.
- Lead development and execution of Honeywells global Factory Supplies (MRO) Sourcing strategy and supply base management globally & regionally driving a One Honeywell approach.
- Lead and manage direct reports globally providing guidance mentorship and support to ensure the teams success and growth.
- Oversee the entire procurement process from supplier selection and negotiation to contract management and performance evaluation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs identify sourcing opportunities and develop procurement plans that support operational requirements.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality cost reliability and other relevant criteria. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts terms and pricing agreements to ensure favorable terms and cost savings for the company.
- Monitor market trends and industry developments to proactively identify opportunities for cost savings risk mitigation and innovation.
- Lead supplier performance assessments and continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence.
- Develop and implement procurement policies procedures and best practices to ensure compliance and efficient procurement operations.
- Prepare and present SBG CoE and Corporate Procurement performance results highlighting key metrics cost savings and performance improvements for all Factory Supplies (MRO) interfacing directly with all levels of leadership including executive business leadership.
QualificationsYOU MUST HAVE:
- Bachelors degree in Business Supply Chain Management or a related field. Masters degree is a plus.
- 10 years of proven experience in procurement sourcing or supply chain management with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong negotiation skills and a track record of successfully managing supplier relationships and contracts.
- Solid understanding of procurement best practices market trends and sourcing strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decision-making and process improvements.

- Significant experience in Factory Supplies/MRO procurement sourcing and/or supply chain
- Ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to manage / lead multiple projects and changing priorities.
- Multi-site procurement experience (negotiations key suppliers and contracting)
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
- Ability to multi-task projects and assess priorities in a complex and demanding environment.
- Demonstrated Leadership experience in Strategic Procurement with broad experience in overall sourcing to facilitate meeting and anticipating the needs of the business with the ability to effectively work with Senior Business leaders.
- Strategic thinking skills including an ability to make sound business judgments related to strategic supply philosophies and initiatives.
- Demonstrated program management skills and ability to drive projects to completion.
- Working knowledge of finance and/or accounting in terms of budgeting cost management financial accounting supply chain financing treasury risk management etc
- Technical skills including strong negotiation skills; excellent knowledge of operations management and supply chain processes in a large organization; and knowledge of effective technology driven sourcing processes.
- Excellent communication skills and even better listening skills to develop communicate and administer procurement team performance and development plans and appraisals.
- Any relevant certifications such as CSCP CPM etc. is a plus.
