Primary Title: Continuous Improvement Intern (Engineering)
About the Opportunity
A hands-on role in the advanced manufacturing and operational excellence sector supporting on-site continuous improvement across production quality and supply chain functions in Australia. This internship exposes you to lean transformation data-driven process improvement and Kaizen-led project delivery within a fast-paced engineering environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by collecting and analysing process data to identify waste and performance gaps.
- Develop process maps and value stream maps to document current-state workflows and propose targeted improvements.
- Assist in planning and executing Kaizen events 5S implementations and pilot improvements on the shop floor.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring defects or bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare clear dashboards dashboards and presentation-ready reports using Excel/BI tools to communicate results to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with production quality and engineering teams to support change implementation and sustainment activities.

Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an engineering industrial engineering manufacturing or related degree (undergraduate/graduate).
- Right to work in Australia and available for full-time on-site placement.
- Comfortable working in manufacturing/production environments and following site safety procedures.
