Responsibilities

The Supervisor Oncology Nurse Navigator (ONN) is responsible for overseeing and mentoring a team of Oncology Nurse Navigators who manage the care of identified patients with cancer in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure access to high quality care throughout the continuum. The ONN Supervisor also provides training and education to the navigation department. The position requires a willingness to work flexible hours which may include some evenings and the occasional weekend.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

1. Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and three (3) years of clinical experience in oncology.

2. OR Associate Degree in Nursing with five (5) years of experience in the field of patient navigation.

PREFERRED:

1. Previous experience working with culturally diverse populations. 2. Strong working knowledge of healthcare systems and community resources. 3. Able to establish strong working relationships within a healthcare system. 3. Previous experience in project management or case management. 4. Masters of Science Degree in Nursing.
