About the role
The Pastoral Care Practitioner oversees and coordinates the sacramental and spiritual life of VMCH residents. As an integral member of Pastoral Care Services within VMCH you will have significant responsibility in the provision of face-to-face pastoral care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- The provision of emotional and religious/spiritual care to all residents
- Providing grief and loss support and offer palliative care support to residents and their families
- Coordinating Pastoral Care activities between parish volunteers and the community
- Liaising with leaders of various denominations and faiths to meet the religious and spiritual needs of all residents
About you
- Pastoral and/or Theological (CPE) qualification or equivalent experience
- Experience in pastoral care and counselling working with people experiencing grief and loss
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literacy including the Microsoft Office suite
