Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN / LVN) Medical Surgical
Location: Rochester NY 14626
Shift: Day Shift 312-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM 7:00 PM)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Pay: $25$32/hr

Job Description:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide high-quality care in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry overflow unit. The 14-bed flex unit supports Emergency Department boarder patients with patient volume varying based on hospital demand.

Responsibilities:

Provide nursing care to Medical Surgical/Telemetry and ED boarder patients under RN supervision
Monitor vital signs and perform blood glucose testing
Administer medications via oral IM SQ NG and G-tube routes
Provide oxygen therapy and manage nasal cannula and face masks
Assist patients with ambulation bathing and other activities of daily living
Insert and manage Foley catheters (male and female) and feeding tubes
Conduct patient admissions and communicate status changes to RN/MD
Maintain isolation precautions and patient safety
Use SBAR communication for ED patients; verbal report for other transfers
Document patient care using EPIC EMR
Float to other Medical Surgical units as needed

Qualifications:

Active LPN/LVN license (pending license not accepted)
BLS certification required
Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical experience
Experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry and Emergency Department preferred
EPIC charting experience required
Previous charge experience preferred
First-time travelers accepted
Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
